What to check
STEP 1
Open THOR side window. Check RS485 A and B terminals are wired correctly — A to A, B to B from meter. Check meter has power (live supply through it)
STEP 2
In ShinePhone, verify correct meter type is selected (Eastron SDM series or Acrel ADL series). Check meter Modbus address is set to 1
Escalate if
Wiring confirmed correct and meter type correct but comms still failing — try swapping A/B wires. If still failing, meter or THOR RS485 port fault
