Follower Failed to Join
In a multi-Powerwall 3 system, Follower unit shows 'Failed to Join'.
Common causes
Field-crimped Ethernet cable (most common cause)Follower AC breaker offFollower incorrectly registered as separate system
What to check
STEP 1
Replace field-crimped Ethernet with factory-made patch cable — Tesla specifically recommends factory cables for Leader-Follower.
STEP 2
Confirm Follower AC breaker ON. Only commission the Leader in Tesla One — never commission Follower separately.
Escalate if
Factory cable confirmed, Leader commissioned correctly, Follower still failing — contact Tesla installer support.
