Device Offline / Gateway Offline
Gateway cannot connect to Tesla servers. App shows 'Device Offline'. Powerwall continues operating in last configured mode.
Common causes
WiFi credentials changed (new router)5 GHz network (Gateway 2 supports 2.4 GHz only)Port 1883 blocked by router firewallTemporary Tesla server outage
What to check
STEP 1
Check Gateway LED — solid green = connected, pulsing green = charging, red = fault, no light = no power. Confirm 2.4 GHz WiFi available.
STEP 2
Power cycle: Gateway circuit breaker off 30 seconds, back on. Check router firewall for port 1883 outbound.
Escalate if
2.4 GHz confirmed, port 1883 open, power cycled, still offline — contact Tesla: 0800 756 9960.
