What to check
STEP 1
Check backup reserve: Tesla app > Settings > Backup Reserve. If battery was at or below reserve, backup will not activate.
STEP 2
Confirm backed-up circuits are wired to the LOAD/Home side of Backup Gateway 2 (not the source side).
Escalate if
Reserve above SOC, loads correctly wired, Gateway power cycled — still no backup. Contact Tesla: 0800 756 9960.
