Powerwall 3 periodically fully discharges to 0% for LFP cell balancing. Normal designed behaviour — not a fault.

Planned LFP calibration cycle (approx monthly)Multiple PW3 units cycle simultaneously
What to check
STEP 1
Confirm via app: controlled discharge to 0% then resumes normally. No backup available during cycle.
STEP 2
No action required — normal behaviour. Contact Tesla for off-peak scheduling enquiries.
Escalate if
Powerwall at 0% and not recovering after 1 hour of grid availability — contact Tesla: 0800 756 9960.
