PV String Sinking Current
Current flowing backwards in a string — usually configuration or shading issue. ID1-ID16 indicate which string.
Common causes
Alarm string has fewer panels than other stringsShading or obstruction on alarm stringIncorrect panel orientation
What to check
STEP 1
Check whether alarm string has fewer panels than other strings. If so, wait for current <0.5A, disconnect DC switch, adjust panel count to match
STEP 2
Check for shading or obstruction on alarm string. Clean panels if dirty. Check panel orientation is consistent with other strings
