PV input voltage is outside the operating window (too high or too low).
Common causes
Too many panels in series causing Voc to exceed inverter maximumToo few panels giving voltage below MPPT minimumPanel failure reducing string voltage
What to check
STEP 1
Measure open-circuit voltage of each string before connecting. Compare to inverter max input voltage
STEP 2
If Voc is too high (can occur in cold weather) reduce string length. If too low, check for shading or failed panels
Escalate if
String voltage is within spec and fault persists — escalate
